The painted detail in the dress the lady on the left is examining in Smut Valley is outstanding. Nice pun too.

Heldrak, is that true metallics or NMM I see on those sabres?  Very nice!

Wow, this is a tough one!!  To be fair to both 'artistes' I might have to abstain on this one.

The Milady figure (and all my Musketeers) are from Brigade Games:

Brigade also makes another version of Milady with some servants:

For my money, Brigade makes the only really useable 28mm Musketeer figures out there...

Nah, just regular old metallic-metallics, although I have been working on making them more dimensional...

The light hits them well, then.  I thought it was NMM.

I did some edging on the blades in a lighter metallic color to try to make them look sharper and more tapered... It's nice to hear that the effect worked! ::)

Grimm

My thoughts exactly.
Nothing against Heldrak's entry though, the painting is top shelf and the team grouping is first rate.  There are not many entries that could have topped this one!

Both entries are stunning and the most difficult choice of this season so far.
But I love the little details of hammer entry.

Very close! The detailing on the cloth and so on in teh market scene is first class, but in the end I had to go with milady, as the neat execution caught my eye. Top marks.
