Does anyone out there make weapon sets in 28 mm? I'm mostly looking for rapiers and cutlasses.

Sadly no. The rapiers are already pretty thin wire, and the basket hilts tend to be sculpted directly to the model's hand. Or so I've been told.

They can be found here:

The depth of availability of miniatures is astounding. Thanks Jo! That cutlass doesn't look too bad.  :)

Yes, thanks.  I like the guns.

The main thrust of my search is for rapiers for a barssoom project I'm working on. It looks like I'll be finding a source for blades and then making my own cup and sabre style hilts. I may have to get some of these just for the pistols

Hi the best source of blades is a piece of florist wire and a hammer, place wire onto a hard solid surface and gently hammer the wire flat. Cut into lengths then use a electric sander to form the points if you have done it right you have a peg to go in the models hand for hilts, look in your local craft store for some fancy beads  or jewellry clasps these are the correct size and often have complex filligrie that can represent ornate sword handles. Hope that helps any questions dont hesitate to ask.

If you're working on a Barsoom project you'll surely cross paths with David at Bronze Age. You might ask him if he might throw in some extra swords and pistols, as they come loose on the miniatures anyway.
