70ies british crime... Those where the times when they canceled Task Force Police on german television for being much to brutal. Can you imagine that the Professionells was broadcasted only after 10 pm even at the end of the eighties because it got an adult rating in Germany?

Poliorketes & Deathwing -

You've missed out on the "Life on Mars" series, a 2006 policeman, Sam Tyler, who gets run over by a hit and run driver, but when he opens his eyes it's 1973. Has he gone back in time ? Is he in a coma ? Or has he gone insane ?
He finds himself working in a city that he doesn't entirely recognise, even though he has always lived in Manchester.

A clever script and good cast, but most viewers seem to prefer Tyler's 1970s boss, Gene Hunt, to Sam Tyler.

I'm still afraid to see what the American remake of the show turns out like, if they're still meaning to make it. Nothing against America, mind. Just against regional remakes in general.

Now, any good miniatures for gaming 1970s cops-and-robbers in the English slums?

Rhoderic, No minis yet though Jim Bowen does do Skinheads and I think Foundry do some but armed to the teeth.

I think the American version will be a bit like Kojack (only Guessing) that was a bit gritty.

I dont know these guys who are putting the rules together but I do fancy the rules

I must admit I'll be more interested in the minis rather than rules,as I have never really seen any suitable for this era.
Vehicles aren't a problem as Vanguards do a nice range of 70's Brit vehicles like Cortinas, escorts erc.

Just emailed Killer B Games to see if they have any time-scale for the release of "Geezers" and the minis.
