Something to amuse and show you how good YOU are
« on: April 26, 2010, 09:32:11 PM »
Here is the last figure I painted a 25mm RP Giant, even with such a big figure I still can't gat a good finish. So it's just to show you how good real painters really are!

I painted it about 20 years ago and then gave up!

It's not that bad, it has potential.  :)

Just paint the basecolour over the areas of colour again and leave the darker colour (where you have inked it) in the gaps.  :)

Not sure I can remeber waht it was so I'll have to match, I think it was a hobbygames paint set...

Yeah - the green tunic looks nice and grubby (in a good way!)

I have the old 90s Marauder giant and am dreading repainting that!  :o

Might have to post the original paint job which I copied off the box back in the day - bit too colourful to go with my dirty, rusty orcs!

Whatever you do don't look at the Otherworld Giant threads on Frothers - that will make you cry...  lol

I've got some TSR 'fishing weights' kicking around.  I think I used toothpicks instead of brushes.  Forget if I misplaced them out of shame, or just being absent minded.   lol

Believe me, I've seen far worse painting jobs. I agree that there is a potential here for improvement. I guess you have to work on the highlights, the basecolors aren't that bad.

Getting holf of the Kevin Dallimore painting guide might help you a lot as well if you are not confident.  ;)
