terrain for 40mm pirate skirmish
« on: June 15, 2007, 11:01:00 PM »
As a  break from assembling and painting a Chinese town for my colonial/VSFgames, I decided to finish off painting some 40mm Graven pirates that have been skulking a the back of my painting table for too long. Having almost finished them, this raises the question of what terrain I will need for them to fight over.

I was seriously inspired by vikotnik's 40mm Musketeers terrain, which certainly sets the quality level I should aim for. His terrain board also looks to be the right siize for the sort of skirmish game I had in mind.

I think a pirate tavern with an outside section of courtyard/street/quay would look good. This has the advantage in that I can use Eureka's tavern tables to set the scene. Beyond that I am still debating what the overall setup should look like. Any ideas or useful links from you guys would be much appreciated. I especially need inspiration for the overall 'look' and construction of the tavern.
