Me and Jonas are going to attempt to make a new VSF game for Horisont II (Danish gaming convention last weekend of November). This time we're going underground.

Idea is to have a "gentlemanly expedition" (supported by the British) go looking for possible Unobtainium ores in the ground and generally just exploring the newly opened volcano in Island. spots to construct a transcontinental underground railway from India to mainland England.

I'm going to use all kinds of different films and movies as inspiration and Time Machine (the old one) was the one that got me started. So here are the morlocks (my take on it). I've deliberately painted them quite colourful as I think it's help them stand out on the tabletop and I used a HUGE brush to speed up the painting.. so they're quite rough in some places.

Oh, they look great, I guess I'll have to start working on stats and such  :) and get the mushroom people.

Indeed!

They're cheap. But they're not worth more than they cost... I only used them out of curiosity.

The heads are from Westwnid.

A very nice idea, and the blues are great.

"What are you painting?"
"Morlocks!"
"I only asked."

Very nice looking figures, and I love the various blues.  It would have been easy to screw up that paintjob, but you didn't.

Hmm.  They look blue when you've got blue in the background, and purple when there's some red...

Do they turn green against a yellow backdrop?  ;)

It shows how much photography and monitor setting can affect perceptions.

I think they are ace but must admit to being a little disappointed you used WW heads - only because I thought you had sculpted hair onto the zulus at first  ;D

Where is everyone getting blue from?

They're purple!
