A few years back GW did a sprue of lanterns and arms with torches for Mordhiem, I think it's out of print but you may find one on ebay.

There's also the flagellant sprue, which is teeming with burning torches!  :)

I need a source for Gaslamps...

Those look quite nice.  I was a bit disappointed with the Zulu sprues, many of the heads are too big.  I may end up doing something along your lines, just not sure yet.

That's  nice last option. I would like to avoid GW though. I think they have this "instant recognizability" about them that I don't like. But perhaps one could skip the arm and go just for the torch.

I know what you mean actually. What about Fenryll or Grendel in their dungeon ranges? In fact, I'm pretty sure I saw something on the Grendel site last night...

Nevermind, they were wall torches: http://www.scotiagrendel.com/Products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_43&products_id=272

Oh and Fenryll don't have anything. How odd.

But wall torches that are very convertible to hand held; these might have to be cut in half anyway, and taking the 'wall straps' off wouldn't be that much extra effort. I know cutting off a pistol or upheld sword and green stuff-ing flame isn't a challenge to most. However, these ten thumbs make even this typing painful.

I'll have to keep Scotia-Grendal in mind.

Thanks!

Doug

That sounds doable. And even simple. Which is a great combination!  lol

Three pages of replies and no one's said "Cool smurfs!" Do I have to do all the tired but obvious humor myself here, people?

(Cool concept, Torb)

Just a little update to show that our subterranean project is not all dead...

Mushroom Men WIP.

Aother of the encounters... I have more mushroom men on the way...

I hope we can begin playtesting a bit during late summer or fall...

Things have been a bit slow lately, too hot weather is not good for the work morale and some Rogue Trader and Epic marines has taken some of my time, but I hope to have more to show soon.

Those are some boss mushroom men  :D  Where do they come from?

I made a few myself earlier in the year, but they had to get left behind when I moved  :'(

We have not started on the board yet, but any day now... aaaaany day now... maybe...

The mushroom men are from Ral Partha Europe and can be bought from Iron Winds Metal in the States...

I have some mushroom men on the way from Rapier Miniatures too, but they only have photos of the giant mushroom men in their shop, so I am looking forward to see if the small and mini mushroom men are useable in size and look with the Ral Partha ones.

Anyway, this should be finished for Horisont in Esbjerg (Link)
