Turk Pom Pom

Hi Folks

This is a London War room 37 mm Pom Pom that I've used with Turk crew supplied from Battle Honours for my Gallipoli convention game.

We are having a sunny day here at the moment so i've taken the opportunity of getting some photos taken of my collection completed by my good friend Leroy Simpson. I'm and always will remain ever greatful for his talents and support.

God Bless

Best wishes,
Helen

Since you have gone postig berserk, Helen, I am just going to say it here: that is a fantastic collection you have there!

I'd be interested in that tank in resin to. The brigade one is a bit too expensive.

Helen is introducing us to the idea of Antipodean Efficiency. It's kind of like Teutonic Efficiency, but with the seasons reversed.  :)

I didn't see this until after your 7.7cm Krupp guns, so I'll ask about how this gun was employed as well. Is this something you'd see down around a company level, or were these employed in batteries, too?

Hi Pete

This particular gun was captured at Gallipoli. The Turks had a number of these in single batteries interlocked with infantry units. The Turks were using anything that could fire a round out of. As you maybe aware they even raided their Museum.

Thankyou for your lovley kind words too. :)

Awesome, thanks Helen. "Captured at Gallipoli" counts as official reference. And I didn't know about the Turks raiding their museum, either. I'm pretty new to the whole war.

I'll put the pom-pom gun on the list.

Ta muchly, as Uncle Lester says.

Your welcome Pete :)

You can probably add to the list Nordenfelts too. Eureka have their lovely colonial guns in which I'm using both for Gallipoli. The Brit Marines actually attacked a Turk position that had four Nordenfelts.
