I think I just soiled myself... Quite un-PC, which I find irresistable, and just look at the artwork on that thing! As a matter of fact I do have £400 to spare but I think they are seriously underestimating how much it will fetch.

Mike Mignola is very much inspired by it.

I have a couple of replica WWI posters "Uboote heraus!" and than famous warbond one stashed away somewhere. Used to have them on my study wall. Took them down as they frightened the wife.

Cheers for the name of that style, Plynkes. It produces much better image search results than 'old posters' etc.

I have to admit if I was the type who often had 400 quid laying about I'd snap that up for the box art alone.

Very cool cover, and what we can see of the map looks pretty graphically slick too! You could put that up against a lot of modern games and have nothing to be ashamed of.

And thank you for the term "plakatstil", Plynkes. Count me another huge fan of that and related early/mid 20th C style!
