Jim,

I've just come accross this mate and I have to say that I'm very impressed with Soapy's sculpts!

 :-* :-* :-*

I was wondering what he has been working on of late (well OK, I know, but I didn't realise he was doing anything else if you're with me?).

All the best with the range, it's a very interesting time in the history of warfare and I think it will be a hit mate.

Joined blog to- just to keep one eye on you, you understand  ;D.

Darrell.

As Soapy did the Woodbine sculpts I am sure that it is only a matter of time until somebody here puts a French/British sailors head on these nice looking figures.

I order the lot and as I understand they are in the post now.

When I get them, I'll pop some different heads on them (both the soldiers and the sailors), post a picture, and well see what they look like.

Having the heads separate is one of the prime reasons I bought them...

Per pack but you do get the backpacks and separate heads (and the banner pole with banner in the command pack)  :)

Thank you  :)

cheers

James

Per pack...  That does change things...

Time to redo the math... wait, I am trying to get away from this scale!

Gracias,

Glenn

Just received my packet in the mail!

Very nice, crisply casted miniatures. The miniatures have good body weight and excellent poses.

Lots of pluses for these minis. Rifles are lovely with firm bayonets which aren't going to break off. Detail is well executed and will be easily painted. The back packs are especially very nice. For folks like me, the thin base is also welcome.

A surprise was to find that the officers sword arm is separate.

Of course, one of the big draws of these minis is the casting of separate heads. Not only will this allow one to vary each miniature to a somewhat more unique pose, it also opens up great potential for using these minis with different heads. The minis themselves are fairly generic (with the exception of the Japanese water bottle) and the leggings can be easily modified to look like boots... or just painted that way.

Excellent value for the money and I am very happy with my purchase.

Looking forward to future releases!

Just spotted these for the first time – absolutely great stuff. Loving the sailors (especially with separate heads) – makes them super versatile. They're going on the list for when I can start buying minis again.

Excellent!  :D
