That said, I stated my expectation of an appropriate thrashing. Please, sir, may I have another.

You think this was a thrashing?  ;)

than I would be in a bad shape or getting old :D

No, I was simply taking your statement serious.
You might be right that the bike is not "standard" VSF, but I prefer to see this tag as a part of Steampunk anyway - I find steam power limited to victorian or whatever other belle epoque period to narrow anyway

but, it is gorgeous model and I was a bit shocked when I realised it is a conversion and would not be available for sale....

Oh dear. I have this stupid idea of a build contest featuring the "least warlike piece of equipment".

e.g. A nightfighter aircraft with chandeliers, a three deck man o'war with a pool and sun loungers?

Any takers?

Very tempted  ;)

Thank you all for the comments.

The bike is about ready to start painting. I've just finished the "Pilot", cockpit and added rivets to the Titan. Just finishing off the boilers ( I will posty some pics soon).

I admit he bike is a little "sleek" and advanced looking for VSF but I quite liked the lines ( the sweeping body work I see as wooden coachwork rather than metal). I always think it's a little bit of a fine line between Steampunk and VSF and admit most of my VSF stuff borders the two.
The rider is a heavily re-worked Westwind Biker and the passenger is a BlackScorpion Cowboy.
I will post some pre-undercoat shots soon to give you an idea of the parts used.

Thanks again for the comments.

Arhh Timothy, there you are?

What a marvel to behold, another bit of "Midnight's Magnificence" :)

This could very well be his "Meknum Opus", methinks. ;)

I have to say that I don't think it DOESN'T look VSF; actually, those slightly curved and arching limbs are rather reminiscent of larger steam engines, and their supporting structure, IMHO.

Finally got around to finishing my assault bike ( the Titan is pre-undercoat still).

Here's a quick pic of the donor parts:

Anyone who's interested I've put the pics of the finished bike in my "Zombie Hunting With Style" thread to save repeat postings of the same pics.

:o Beautiful work!  And what a build too!  I'm so impressed by what people come up with in the way of vehicles from such seemingly random parts.  Great work.

Funny thing is, yesterday, I was about to post something like, 'Okay, it's almost been a full month, and no update. Haven't I apologized enough? Haven't I suffered sufficient public humiliation?'

Only the fact that, a) it wasn't quite a month, and b) everybody experiences the 'road blocks of real life'. Obviously, you haven't had any issues like that.

I did say I expected, having gone looking for a bit more of your work, to have my mind changed by one of your paint jobs. Consider it changed.

Bloody marvelous!

Just to be clear, I've always considered VSF, SteamPunk, and Gothic Horror to be one mash, just with different emphases. I still say that beauty could show up many places and times, and be stunning every time. Really, The Great Race? The Road Warrior? Fantastic!

I am having fun imagining your 'donor' pic with lines and description balloons.  :)

Please, please, please, keep us updated on Tim!
