I started re-working some card buildings I have been doing for my VSF stuff earlier in the year.
I began in March but was set back when my beloved bulldog Boswell died. I get people saying "he was only a dog" but he was my best mate for 11 years.
Anyhow I had a re-think of what I was trying to achieve and so have gone for a modular sytem with basic building designs which can be "re-skinned" to represent different parts of town.I will be doing different signs, window designs and building materials with historical(ish) and steampunk variations all as printable files.
As the designs are done by hand ( rather than computer) the first build had a couple of errors-
The roof was 8mm to short and the chimney needs to be thicker.
Here's a quick couple of pics of a first build aswell as a rather rough design sketch.

Regards
PM

Yep, you've got it PM! Lovely stuff. You'll probably build yours a hell of a lot quicker than me!

Excellent concepts. Simple and elegant. Very inspiring.

Alfrik found a copy of this book in a thrift store and has been kind enough to loan it to me. There's some very helpful stuff in it.

This looks very promising!

I can't wait to see where this goes, it's right up my alley!  ;) (I'll get my coat...)
I like your idea of multiple skins.

Very nice work so far.

And remember, errors in construction are not necessarily bad, they can make a building seem more "real" to the eye.

Looks great - I remember the building you did in your zombie hunters thread, and I've been looking forward to more of them since then!

Sorry to hear about Boswell. My golden retriever (who's lying beside my chair as I type this), is nine years old, and she's got some white in her muzzle, and I hate the idea that I'm going to lose her one day. She flew from Ireland to America to be with us when my wife and I moved to the US, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Arhh, Latenight, there you are. These buildings look marvellous, can't wait to see them develop. ;D

Lovely looking building.
Are you going to let any of us mere mortals have PDFs later ?

Shame about Boswell- we lost our house rabbit (the character on our avatar) a few months back and occasionally still hear the thump of running feet.
