Pulp bi-plane types for BoB
« on: June 12, 2010, 06:10:43 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for pulp-era single seater aircraft I could use for adventures set in the "Roof of the World" locale? Obviously something I could stick a Copplestone pilot into.

Thanks!

My favourite is the Henschel

it would maybe be "late-pulp" but really cool anyway. Many nice plastic models in 1/48

Oooh! That IS nice. I've been doing some searching and am thinking also of the Se5A or Nieuport. It doesn't have to be historically accurate, just look like it fits in.

The "easy but a bit more expensive" way out is to take one of the metal Corgi 1/48 models. I have a bunch of those. They make your mouth water- Can be picked up on ebay at a good price:

You can find "Russell Case's Stereman" 1/48 model cheap, on Ebay and such (it's a Revell model from the "Independance Day" movie line of models)

May be a two seater, though?
