Otherworld Giant - pic heavy!
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:01:18 AM »
.............and not just the pics! This is one meaty soab! I volunteered to paint it for the Frothers game at Salute so only had a week and a half to do it......haven't stressed that much in a while  o_o

As it came;

Some pinning in progress;

Finally together after much pinning although not very much in the way of filling. Very nice piece of kit - note the blade is just holding his head up whilst the epoxy dries......

One of the accessories, a mini of Otherworld's first release of a giant idol.

Lots more accessories on the belt;

The eyse still haunt my dreams!

Finished!

really good
and nice model too

depending on the concept of GIANT, he might look a bit too clean - but this is just a matter of taste
and maybe a bit more depth on the cloth

there You are, You asked  :)

Constructive criticism is always welcome! I agree on the cleanliness - it was painted in 8 days or so so I had to cut corners (including multiple shading beyond what I did). After Salute I could not face doing anything except touch it up and finish the matt varnishing.................

You did a nice job on him.

I don't have a lot of experience pinning, so that is intimidating a bit.  Still, we are planning on ordering him.

I think he looks excellent. So he's a bit fastidious, nothing wrong with that.  :D

And done in just over a week, it would have taken me that long just to figure out where all the pins need to go.

I really dig this big guy.
Lots and lots of personality on him.
I think you went a little overboard with his accessories, but I probably would have to.

Really nice job on a very cool "mini"
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/
