I've finished the main components of a new steamer from the colonial Congo region; see the research topic here:

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=18840.0

I won't publish a lengthy WIP this time, but some pictures occasionally. Main construction is done already, and I found some nice parts to construct a boiler and paddle-wheel. Now on to detailing and painting. Hope you like it.

Very inspiring as I have a game planned for the Congo at some point, one which will also require some sort of steamer. Well done! Im looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Good heavens. Yet another superb nautical model. If I didn't love looking at them so much I'd be really depressed  lol

"The horror! The horror!"

Just kidding. ;)

Looks marvellous. I love how it follows the lines of the Chalk steamer, but is executed to cleanly and with such loving attention to detail.

I love the detail on the wheel - absolutely amazing.  :-*

Will the top deck lift off when finished?

No, too complicated wth all the deck and rail supports ...; maybe the cabin roof.

The boiler is constructed from some cheap Dapol loco parts and two ship windpipes I had in my spares ...  :D

Yes, a ladder will lead to the upper deck. As I said, now on to the details ...  ;)
