Ouch point taken I was doing that for a while until I managed to lay claim to the box room. My tip is to accidently spill some paint on the dining room table or when dry brushing cause the painted walls to have a pointilist look to them that seemed to do the trick for me ;)

Tried that already. ;)

There's a paint stain on the carpet adjacent to the table and it was black paint as well. Suffice it to say Mrs M was not amused lol

My final trick (dont try this at home) was to have an inquisative daughter who managed to get the top off a bottle of thinners and have a little sip :o despite a child proof top :'(

Yes Jim thank god luckily I caught her and she vomited immediately, though straight down to casualty incase she had inhaled any, this was a good while ago and I think she tended to be a disaster area when a toddler and it took me a litle while to become ultra careful but not before she had;

Poured a pot of whitte paint on the new suite
Eaten a packet of cigarettes
Stuck toy plates (from sylvanians) up her nose on three occassions - because she enjoyed going to see the nice doctors and nurses ;D

I cant quite remember if she was given so "antidote" or not now but the risk was with the vomiting of aspiration where by she could still inspire the fumes fomr the vomit. The problem was that we were at my Mums up norht and packing to leave after xmas (I had got some GB saxons and been painting them whilst up there during the hols) so the trip home waqs delayed while we made sure she was ok.

Wow. Spacious. I'vr got to fool myself with similar photograph of my own workspace.

I was going to say someting... Yes, right: it is funny to that almost everyone, just like me, seem to crowd themselves out to the very edge of the desk. I clean my desc every Friday night. On Saturday I have plenty of space whereupon to rest my elbows. On thursday evening I'm glad if I can give my wrist some support on the work surface.

A panaoramic view of the room I have taken over.  My workspace faces west so can get damn hot in summer, an acceptable price for bright light.

It seems a bit bland but it's in tidy mode at the mo.  I'm a really messy worker and so not to drive myself (too) insane, at the end of each 'project' I have to do a tidy-up.  I'm lucky to have all this space BUT it's also where I game and the present layout doesn't really allow gaming and painting etc to be going on at the same time. I built the units years back when I worked at home and had a ruddy great monitor sat on the window ledge - what I'd really like to do is clear out a load of my wife's stuff in the cabinets then put in a gaming table that bridges width ways, maybe folding down from the walls when not in use ........... one day, that and a repaint with a display of militaria and my books and my dvds and  my................  (me =   :-* ; wife =  :o)

What you said.

I did a big clean & re-organize sweep on my painting desk the day before this thread resurfaced and I took the photo, but before that random disorganized stuff was crowding in on all sides!

That's because everything has little legs and finds it very amusing to encroach on your space...

You'll never catch them at it though  o_o

You're right there, but I have seen the little buggers wink at me on occasion. ;) They sit there on the painting shelf, some undercoated, some with some basic colours blocked in and they look at me and taunt me, trying to tempt me to finish them...

Hi. New guy - old mess:

My desk in the bedroom. No natural light and a single 40W bulb behind a plastic lampshade...
Been quite inspired by some of the desks in this thread, so might give 'being organised and tidy' a go at some point :)

Yours is tidy! Look! I can see table surface! And your paints are far more organised than mine...
I told you so. You damned fools.

That's mine... I have no dedicated rooms, and I do a lot of different things like electronics stuff, painting and scratchbuilding, so my table is not enought.... I use all the floor of my room.... :P Poor my carpet :P

ASD!!! modellistic porn movies? mmmm, intresting! :P let's say that I haven't enough space for a lab and for a room, so I have to decide..... and the one on the tripod is just a telescope.... ;P maybe should be better for filming miniatures having sordid things XDXDXD
