I am always impressed by seeing everyone else's workbench....especially as it gives me loads of ideas for my own!  ;)

Current workbench is stored away while we are adding a massive ventilation hole to our roof.....

Seriously, I saw that picture and the first thought through my head was how realistic those roof tiles looked lol

I've finally decided to go ahead and arrange a dedicated workbench that isn't a plastic table hidden away somewhere, and I wanted to go ahead and share my progress.

I have my painting equipment in a house in the country, rather than where I normally live. The disadvantage is that I only paint when I go there, which is about twice a month. The advantage is that being away from the computer and the Internet makes painting a quiet, thoughtful experience, so I'm pretty happy with keeping my stuff there. I've been considering clearing a dedicated space for a hobby room, and this weekend I took the plunge and started the process. This meant clearing out old, unused furniture and clutter, and assembling a wooden desk I had acquired when my company moved to a Wework. I wanted to document the change here, so I took a few pictures;

I'm very happy with how it turned out, particularly the wooden finish of the table and how it seems to match so nicely with those Hobbyzone modules. I hope to refine the space over time.

Looks great and very organised  8)
(Although you do know all the greatest artists in history have worked in a studios kept in a state of chaotic mess, right?)
;)

Only kidding. There’s nothing like a lovely clean, tidy workstation to make one want to do modelling and painting  :)

Haha! But alas, I am only a mediocre artist, so no chaotic messes for me, yet.

There's a lot of truth in this statement, for me. The previous incarnation of my workbench was very messy, and all it made me do was sit and stare at the disaster in desperation. When the previous bench was first starting out, I cranked several hours of work in it. So I guess I need the space and the sense of empty in order to be able to work.

Well you would think that would be easy but ...

This is their website and the 2 lamps i bought arent on it: https://www.cepos.fr/

Gonna attach a screenshot of the actual product from Taobao (alibaba) but the link option only works for someone who also has the app.

If anyone can find it on another shopping site please do share, this is all I got  o_o

My actual desk, I waited the moment when losing sight to have a tidy place  :'(  The spot on the right is mounted on a microphone stand, and filtered with tracing paper to soften the led lighting.
