28mm Lions, Tigers and leopards
« on: June 28, 2007, 02:01:10 PM »
Hi,
Looking for some animals to complete my circus project. :)  I need a Tiger, and a leopard/Panther. I guess a lioness might do as a compromise if I can't find a leopard.

Any ideas who makes them in 28mm?

Depends on what size you want.

Crocodile games have some impressive lions but they are big.

Minifigs used to do some small 25mm ones in their gladiator range (but you might find the size ok for a leopard, if they have one without a mane), and I think Steve Barber has some in his Gladiator range. Steve's figures are usually 25mm not 28mm, so I would guess his lions might be a bit smaller than some. Steve also has arange of prehistoric animals, perhaps a sabre tooth might be useable if you trimmed the teeth ?

Do Vendel/Gripping Beast have anything ?

Irregular do some but a lot of their animals are a bit docile, more suited to Noah's Ark than ripping your arm off.

I think Malamute is set on panthers or tigers. I spent an hour the other day scouting for them justbecause I found it strange that I could not  find *anyone* making tigers in 28mm. There are lions, tigers and cheetas but no panthers.

I'd be very interested too. Mainly for East Africa during WW1. I've purchased a number of Copplestone beasts and two Lions and a Gorilla from Wargames Foundry from their Dark Africa Range. The Copplestone Bull Elephant is now undercoated and awaiting paint.
