Royal Navy Crew released for Pirates of the Skeleton Seas
« on: July 03, 2007, 06:54:50 PM »
We now have our Royal Navy Crew, all sculpted by Martin Baker. The range currently consists of 3 officers, a Captain, Leiutenant and Midshipman

2 Marines

and 2 Able Seamen

More figures will be coming soon.
We would like to thank John the OFM, Dave Wilson, Tim Kulinski and Alex Bews all of whom were a great help with the research for these figures!
Individual pictures of the figures can be found on our website here: http://www.blackcatbases.com/product.asp?strPageHistory=category&numSearchStartRecord=0&strParents=117&CAT_ID=117&P_ID=555&btnProduct=Products...

Thanks for your comments, in answer to your question our ideas come from us and Martin (The sculptor) with a little help from customers who give us ideas.
At this moment in time we have quite a few bits coming so we should manage 3 or so figures a week for a little bit longer, on the bench at the moment we have a distressed damsel to be saved, some more pirate crew, a amazing pirate queen, if i say so myself, she is so finely sculpted she has different style rings on her fingers including a filigreed one!
the Boat and sea monsters will be out as soon as the moulds get finished. also some other bits im not allowed to tell you about so keep your eyes peeled!
Thanks again
Jo  :)

Very nice indeed, congrats!!!  But, a word of advice: don't EVER thank the OFM in public: John's ego is big enough as it is....

Hi,
Thanks for the comments! Lowtardog: cool come and see us at Bovington, it is always nice to put a name to a face! Geudens:   John was a star as was Dave both did a fair bit of research for us for free which I couldn't do myself as I had no idea where to start! Growing John's ego is good, make him even more fun!
Thanks Jo:)

Jo - I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and seeing the figures on Sunday at Bovington.
I particularly like the Captain and midshipman. The marines are great too - especially bearing in mind the dearth of information available for marines of this date.
