I hope those weapons are in scale with their metal figures, but they look more slender.

Seems like lots of wasted empty space on that sprue too.

Hmmm... That'll be a dozen or so rifles and machine guns then...

And on the single three-up shown, the right arm clearly doesn't fit at the shoulder properly! Doesn't exactly bode well...

Sorry to be so negative. You've got to hand it to Warlord for their all-out-frontal-assault on the entire Wargames industry. And when you chat to them in person, they're nice guys.
But I loathe the hyped-up, salesy tone of their publicity. The constant overclaiming and faux-teen naffness makes me cringe.

Obviously they've cottoned onto the theory that "a teenager's parent's bank account has no bottom."

Despite the empty space, I can see a lot of use being made from this. They also resisted the temptation not to include more 'too cool' StG44s.

I've been looking for easy to convert and mix ww2 plastics for such a loooong time! Even if this set may be quite inferior in quality to its metal counterparts... I think I'll give it a go. Think about mixing it with some westwind's SHS heads, or Maxmini's or Pig Iron's...

Not so many on here, but on others they have adverts for 'lonely teens in your area looking to hook up' quite often. I don't respond as they are bound to be Warhammer fanatics...

But i will not buy them because i like metal figures.
A large box of plastic sand bag

Plastic bit and bobs eg telephone poles,signs mine field etc
Plastic pill boxs with removeable roofs, tank traps etc
All in 28mm, which would cost less than metal.

I would truly like to have seen more bits on the weapons sprue. More StuG 44's for late war and 2 Mg 42's for a Panzer grenadier section... that's just my preference...

Saw the 'three up" figures in the flesh at Bovington at the weekend. Held them and studied them.
They really are rather nice, arms, weapons and belt kit all multi part, however, a large part of me just kept on seeing the infamous Airfix poses of the WW2 German Infantry boxes... ( 1:35 & 1:72 pick your cover artwork based on age ).....

I do aggree about the marketing speak though, although the fact that they are ex GW "may" have something to do with that?

Release date when pressed, should be before Christmas this year, so not long to wait, which is nice....

I guess that also means the rest of Airfix's old back catalog will be raided at some point!
Anybody else remember the Robin Hood playset? Or Fort Sahara?

While the 3up and the sprue do look interesting, I'd like to see what the helmeted heads look like though, I'm more of a fan of metal miniatures.

If the box is good value then it could be quite good for Weird World War 2 conversions and the like, but if the per model price is only a wee bit less than the metals, which tend to have more character and story to them then I'm sticking to metals.

I don't understand the need for 28mm WWII in plastic as most systems at this scale don't require to many figures.I think AWI,SYW,Waring States Chinese etc. and those games needing 100+ figures just to get going would be a better pursuit.
