If it wasn't something I only need in very limited numbers, I'd be tempted to make one for casting in resin.  What makes this and the Dixon model so bloody frightening is the weight of the carriage.  It makes the spring work doubly difficult.  If someone were to make a resin one, slightly larger to suit the 28/32mm market, they'd make a small fortune.

That all looks good! Any chance of some colour shots of the whole shooting match?

Glad you like it though.

Thanks for reminding me...I need a few soldier models, but I'm thinking of being lazy and using my Perry civil war plastics...should be close enough.  What kind of cavalry did you get?

3 packs of mounted US cavalry 7th?  From artizan.  I will get a command pack and a few foot guys to blend in with them later.

I do however LOVE the perry miniatures horse holders.

Cheers fella.

So, a little progress on the boarding house but I received some lasercut signs with a nice wells fargo sign.  So, I decided I needed a Wells Fargo office - kind of timely as I now have my own stagecoach me thinks.

Sweet. I really like the diversity in your buildings.
They all really have a character on their own, while the town still looks like it fits together.

Awe some!
Really great work. The graveyard is cracking.

The sickle in the fruitful field;
The sword he sung a song of death,
But could not make the sickle yield."

Cheers fellas.

Voivod - I try to make them all a little different for gaming pleasure and to give myself interest in doing them.  I've just finished this Wells Fargo office.  I was interested to do the curved top to match the lovely laser cut sign.

Generally speaking, I don't mess with the insides.  There are some great laser cut buildings about for that.  I would have gone that route had they been so readilly available when I first built a few of these.

However, VC as a game is very three dimensional - we use the roofs and balconies a LOT so I have plenty of scope for interesting platforms etc.

I've also been painting more figures.  The apaches don't take kindly to this poor light, I'll try to get a daytime pic up soon.

Ps. Been watching 3.10 to Yuma again.  I'm really tempted to have a go at this....

A lot of flash on them, and it's taken me a good three hours of work but I've cleaned up and based / sanded nine cavalry horses, one pony express horse and a grizzly bear!  I think I will paint all this four legged beastlyness before worrying about riders.  Besides which, I've ordered two packs of dismounted cav figures which can all paint together.
