Facing woodwork nearly done.  Front porch cover needed and shelf supports to top plank.  Need to work on rear woodwork next.

Will be doing peg racks to hang tools on near front door.  Gathering a selection of clutter to place on sale too.

Cheers fella.

Not the best picture...but whilst finishing off the cavalry....pics soon.....I managed to finally paint the Artizan pony express guy.  Nice animated figure.

More wood on the hardware shop tonight.....nearly finished the build....just the roof and porch cover to do....

And I've had a cracking idea.   I need a more "fluid" looking cattle stampede.   So, I'm going to cut an irregular base on which to mount about a dozen of the Dixon long horn.  But to make the piece multi purpose...I will cut out a base slot that can either house another cow.....or a mounted cowboy.    So it can either represent a stampede..of an orderly drive.  I need to convert a cowboy to be holding a lasso also.  A piece if florist wire should do the trick....

I stupidly mounted my previous dixon cattle on rectangular bases, three to a base.   They look crud tbh.   I'm going to try and salvage those cattle too at some point.

Edit:

There's the cowboy...

Great work on that Pony Express fella!

And nice idea with the irregular base for the longhorn stampede, will be nice to see how it looks.

Looking good, sir.
Nice structure.
 :-*

I have just finished 'cluttering' up my hardware store after you gave me the nudge to finish it and shall be posting pics tomorrow.
I wonder if we have the same ideas when it comes to dressing it up.

Going to need more steers!  :?

I think as a minimum.....twenty five.   Going to get expensive!

Simple thin plasticard in the bottom.  I will mount one cow (or maybe 2) on a horse base to represent stampede.    Once I get hold of some more models, I will try and repose some heads.   The important thing is to make them look like they are jostling each other.   I will need to paint them all individually before basing them.

Very cool...proper cattle is still well down on my list of things to do...maybe time to get down to it.  I love your idea.

That is a bloody clever idea.

Using metal steers will certainly be expensive, you are right.
Maybe finding some ERTL cows (on ebay,) that are similar could bring the price down a bit.
