Has anyone seen the Old Glory 28mm Austro-Hungarians?
« on: July 05, 2010, 09:21:10 PM »
Just curious about this. Can't find photos online anywhere, and my questions to OG have gone unanswered.  Would appreciate a frank assessment -ie: their appearance, and some info on figure mix if you happen to have it (the site simply says you get eleven soldiers in a pack, plus command, not very helpful).

Photos would be -awesome- but I know that's a tall order.

I have been told that the OG WW1 range is "better" than some of their other ranges, and indeed the vehicles aren't bad, but I'm unwilling to order OG sight unseen, or at least without a frank opinion.

I think they are all in feldmutze if I recall a picture correctly. WW1 packs usually are different variants

OG are smaller than Great War Miniatures and Scarab Miniatures. More like true 25s. Put them on a slotta base and its not so bad. The ww1 range is quite good (and well priced if you are in the OG Army) although I understand there are some inaccuracies on some figs (but thats heresay from others not fact from me!). But there is plenty of choice of packs. I have quite a few of the Americans but they will go on sale at some point as they don't mix with Scarab Austro Hungarians (for fighting on Western Front)

If you want an extensive (and expanding!) range of Austro Hungarians we do 12 packs and counting for the late war, although some can also work for early war. Next will be artillery, armoured cars and mortars after the Italian Arditi

I would also look to other lines I never had the A-H but from the other packs I had I would say they are nice for Old Glory but smaller than whats on the market now.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.
