Buffalo Hunter
« on: July 06, 2010, 09:36:41 PM »
Spent most of the holiday weekend enjoying some much deserved beer.  Yet I did manage to prep another 24 Conquest  FIW models and some half dozen or so of Brigade Games King Philips War Indians, which seem like they'd make good Delaware warriors to me.  Also, completed this OG Cowboy Wars set "Buffalo Hunter II," IIRC.  Seems to be the work of Mr. Hicks, so I may be buying more of these Wild West characters.  I really like that most of them come as a set, both mounted and dismounted.

I dug up an old coffee table book of Western art I was given as a boy and low and behold, it appears that many of the Knuckleduster figures seem to be based on O.C. Seltzer's numerous studies.  They've really captured the character of Seltzer's art well with the new sculpts and I'm looking forward to continuing to build my collection.

Nice looking minis. With a little greenstuff, the one on foot could be made to look like 'The Archduke' in the movie Maverick.

Nice work!

I can also recommend the OG European hunters, they are not pictured on their website but quite cool
