Starting kit

After a 6 year hiatus, I'm trying to build up a workbench again. I'm assembling my kit, buying tools, getting myself a decent cutting mat, clearing a workspace. Almost there, but for the paint.

So what would a basic setup entail in terms of paints, washes, inks etc? For now I'll mostly be painting metals and WWII colours. And for bonus points: where would I be best off buying all this kit. Online shops are best.

You could get a starter kit of Vallejo paint, model colour series (the gaming colour mimicks the GW range) as those are more natural, muted colours. > http://www.vallejo.nl/assets/s2dmain.html?http://www.vallejo.nl/ (on holiday till mid August, but easy for us. Or get it from Maelstrom, a webshop in the UK.

Washes, go to the Dobbelsteen and get Devlan Mud and Badab Black washes, the rest can come later. I'm currently using about 1 tin a month of those.

Metals, same, get the GW ones.

Basecoat you can get at the Action, Praxis etc. No need to get the 12.50 euro cans of GW Primer.

We should be able to chat some more at the end of August about this, my current build schedule is too unforgiving to take time out.
