Grand work with the painting, camouflage, weathering et al. Just a pity with the running gear on the E-50, it looks a bit too similar to the heavier ones. But that's a rivet-counter's complaint, I guess.

It was also one of my concerns, all drawings I saw clearly featured a different tracks and road wheel assembly for the E-50.
But I had to work with the stuff I got...
My reasoning is now that the small Kampfgruppe was field repaired and mounted E-50 turrets to the E-75 hull...
When thinking of the Panther equipped with a Pz IV turret this is not too far fetched...
 ;)
cheers and keep on gaming, Agis - http://www.adpublishing.de

Yeah, it's a minor quibble, and I feel Bed... bad about bringing it up already. It's a pity there are no hulls more suitable available. You might get away with using a Panther II, but where to find one, and the conversion for that would have to be rather involved, too.

Really nice. I really like the "family shot" with the Maus tank 8)

Some more E 50 panzer porn for ya.  Looks like a modified Flakpanther turret on the E 50 chassis.  twin 37mm autocannons could really cause some damage.

Hmm according to my books the E-50 Flak Panzer was planned with a turret mounted 5.5cm Flakzwilling.
I have the 20mm (1/72) Cromwell model on my "To Do" table...

It does look very similar (to the point of identic) to the Coelian flak turret projected originally for the Panther hull, so I'd say the 37mm is the best bet; then again, one would probably eventually upgun it if the hull and turret allowed for it, so the 55mm isn't that far off, either.

Now that I look at it I think those are 55s.

That is the charm with "What If" vehicles, who knows what happened between the drawing board and actually fielding the AFV...

I must admit I'm largely immune to panzer porn (well if it postdates about 1935 anyway) but these are really nice conversions, excellent work and because they are paper panzers any artistic licence you take is justifiable IMO.

Thanks, really thanks.
I had some "ugly" remarks on the FoW forum about these models, so it is good to find some kindred spirits!

Well, some people get their balls in a twist when you misplace one rivet on a fictional tank. It happens. ;)

Stunning work.
