Not the best photo, bugger. I should have him painted tonight so that will give a better view.

Looking great, Can't wait to line these chaps up and then shoot them :D

For anyone who doesn't know Malamute personally he's a nice.....ish sort of chap really. He also likes flower arranging and knitting.  ;)

Jimbibbly, these chaps look great. Looking forward to seeing them painted. If you do cast the heads and packs I'd be interested.
Don't!

Knitting particularly, for instance when you have finished making a cardigan, mittens and scarf you can stick the needles in peoples eyes. >:D

I've test painted the EVA trooper test and though a nice warm grey would convey the feeling of heavy duty clothing.

Shame about the variation of colour in the photos, never moved the camera, lights or backdrop  :?

I've found a perspex ball that's a little bit smaller than the current one and I'll be using that for the master of the helmets. I'll be popping into work tomorrow to work on the backpack (amongst a whole heap of other things).

cheers

James

Very cool. You might want to thin the neck collar too if possible.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Yep and as mentioned a smaller bead for the helmet would look even better, perhaps some more brass straps across the top and sides , showing less glass?

Oh very nice indeed! I'll go along with what Dewy and Mally said for slight alterations. Saying that, even as it is now works for me.

I would go with more brass to the helmet. I don't think the fish bowl helmet made of glass works well on miniatures unless you can paint the face that you would see through the glass.
A smaller bead would work as well but also sitting lower on the shoulders may help.
Now that I have shot your idea down in flames can I just say I do like them. In fact I have some beads that I got for the same idea. So I will be watching to see how you do it so I can then copy you. :D

Thanks chaps  :D I have a smaller ball and there will be more brass on it, probably some sort of round veiwing pane to the front, like a diving bell but slightly different.

I'm currently making a smaller neff to accompany the large one on scouting missions across the Martian plains. Same principals as the last one which you can find here http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=12395.0 but a bit smaller with only one 'Lewis' gun and a small naval gun.

A comparison shot of the two

I started to draw up a battle ship over the weekend  ::) Should be about 800mm long and have broadsides and a flying bridge (if it ever gets done  ;D

I might make another nef at this size as it's a much better gaming size and useable for normal games.

cheers

James
