Right then, the bare bones of the first viaduct section has been bashed out. I've also completed another section, the one with the low doorway for the connecting part to the docking tower.

The photo isn't too clear but hopefully you'll get the idea...

And here are a few shots of all the wall sections I have so far

I haven't got any plain sections yet, they've all got something going on  lol I was thinking about casting them up with fibreglass and a slush mould but well see.

There will be a little platform next to the top of the viaduct probably to help load the crane or some such but I haven't decided yet.

I'll also be putting magnets in the joining sections of the viaduct to help keep it together. I'm also going to have make the rails myself. The kit comes with some but only enough for the train to be displayed on and the idea is for this to be able to go the length of the table (12 foot for now).

I've got some Robin Hood stuff to do later  ::) lol and some commission and order work but I might get an hour or so later this evening to start the block work and details.

cheers

Looking good so far.
 :D

I sympathise with the 'no plain sections yet' bit.
If you have not done anything for a while and then the old mojo returns, it usually does so in a flood.
Well it does for me anyway...

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this.
Oh, yes!

Trying, though I must admit I get totally distracted looking at all your stuff and projects piled up in your Man Cave.

Looking good so far - like a VSF version of 1900 Peking. So how about a Martian take on the Boxer Rebellion?

Great minds and all that. It's been discussed. :D

Thanks chaps  :)

Ray, I'll get another picture later this evening for you (and anyone else who's interested).

Just got to wait for this bloody train to turn up (with my luck three will turn up at the end of the year  lol )

Great minds and all that. It's been discussed. :D

It certainly has and will be again on Tuesday  ;D

cheers

Go big or go home.  ;D

Seriously, very cool project.  :-*

I'd love to do a grand project like this, I just don't have the room.  :'(

Ooooooooh yes!! Very nice indeed old chap.  :-*

I started a viaduct build last year but had to knock it on the head as it was bloody huge and I've got nowhere to store it. When I've finished my pub I might just go back to it.......... You're a bad influence.
Don't!

Moi  ???

 lol

Done a bit more on the viaduct/wall section so hopefully it'll be a bit clearer as to the intention.

The two silver nodules on the arch projection are magnets that will help pull it together on the table.

Plenty more block work to do and I'm also going to add a telegraphy wire system on the viaduct as well  :)

I'm thinking of doing a small signal station but that might have to be on another modular section as it will get a bit crowded on this one.

At work next week I'll rough out the mesa for the station to sit on...

cheers

Tremendous as always but you need to do more with the tracks, they are letting it down a little a present ;D

Funny bugger  ;D

I'm going to have to wait for the train to turn up before I can do them as I haven't been able to find the actual model track width anywhere  ::)

cheers

I agree it is starting to look very busy. I think you need to build some more plane sections and then box up the (Finished only) busy sections and send them up to me :D
Going to be a spectacular table.  :-* :-* :-*
