Thanks muchly chaps  :)

I think these actually look better in blue than the miriad of khakis usually on show. If only there were more "proper" Nips for this period other than the OG and Redoubt ones (dont even think of mentioning the watchyamacallit ones)

That's being worked on  ;)  ;)

Rob Baker would be proud of that std. bearers hand though

How can I forget? I was just drooling over your website last week. That is an excellent price. How thick are they? I won't expect an answer for a while :) Have fun tonight.

Fun was had last night  ;D

The bases are 2mm thick

I changed the title to fit more with what's actually going on. For tonights installment we have more detail on the smaller neff, a castable gun turret and a multibase for the cavalry.

All the riveting is done. I need to put the trim round the edge, make the aerofoils and railing round the top deck and we're good to go with the paint job  :)

The wheel might be a little big but I think it'll be fine when there's a lick of paint on it

Here we have the castable gun turret, this will be able to field a choice of weapons, one of which is shown.  General Bandai is standing on something to get him to the right level as the bit under the turret is for casting purposes.

And here we have the multibase for the cavalry, it's a bit snug and the others will need a bit more tolerance. I tried a row of five for a more regimented look but it didn't cut through properly.

cheers

James

Whoa!!!

Bunch of nice stuff there!

The 'nef is coming along great and the "castable" turret...  :-*

Also like those bases of yours.  Makes me think I might need to pick up some... we'll see next year!   :)

Excellent stuff there. I'm guessing, given the commander's name that the cavalry favor a "Wave" assault?

More neffness this time, only got the rail and masts to do and it's ready for painting  :D

Overhead view first

Then from the left side...

And then from the rear

A close up of the areowhatsit, these are slightly smaller but proportionally longer than the other neff to give the impression of more maneuverability

Comparison shot with the Kashima in the background

And a dodgy close up of the buttons that I found that look like the Japanese Imperial Emblem  :)

One of these will be going onto the prow of the Kashima  :)

Thanks for looking, more to follow  ;)

cheers

Now its nearly finished you will have time to start work on the "other" project :D

Hehehe, but you thought it though.  ;)

That is a great looking nef and fits in nicely with the rest of the fleet.  :-* :-*
