Bugger, quick question. Are the new build threads placed in the 'BUILD SOMETHING CONTEST' master thread and if so, could the master thread in question be cleaned up somewhat  :)

I am working on it. I don't have Alex' superpowers here. In the meantime, mark your post appropriately ('BSCII: rhubarbrhubarb') or something like that.

As a fan and user of much CD-based terrain I have to say:  Yay!

Just to clarify, the essence of this is that the CD (or a reshaped CD) provides the base of the terrain item.  So the item can be anything from the (real, sci-fi or fantasy) physical realm that minis might be deployed on or in?

Hmmm.  Thinking of something original that will be useful to me for 18th C North America - therein lies the challenge.
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)

Yes, in the tradition started by Overlord that the theme should not be too restrictive. "Transport" as you recall was last years theme could mean a lot.

Can I just use all of the buildings from my Fallout board?

(tee hee)

Actually, I need to do a bit of Piratical terrain building...hmmm.

Does this need to be a single piece, or can it be a conglomeration of pieces all mounted on CD's?

Sir Dryden that CD looks......looks.....played! :o

Yup, it was. Not by me, but it was... I'm planning to terrain the heck out of it though. I'll even try to incorporate the atrocious cover of the album (leather jacket and chest hair and all) into the project. I still don't know what I'll do, but watch this space. I think we'll have fun!

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

What about the CD dividers that are the exact shape, size and thickness of a CD... only transparent? I don't want to break my Best of Kenny G for this...

technically, those are cds, but with no metal layer inside... I think they should be considered valid!

(and extremely useful for flying objects! ^^)
