This 38.5 cm long, 24cm tall plastic kit contains:

- Two-piece wood grained hull
- Large area deck parts with many engraved details
- Typical Dragons Head
- 64 separate, individual shields
- Anchor and 32 Oars
- Structured Sail
- Mast, Yardarm and thread for authentic rigging
- Two piece stand
- Comprehensive set of decals for all shields and the sail

The vac-formed sail and rigging will really make this kit stand out, giving you lots of options for modelling.

For those who don’t want to go blind painting each of the shield designs the kit comes with a lovely waterslide decals sheet – feast your eyes on these! There’s even one for the sail too!

Hmmm. I've seen this kit before. And it's not designed for gaming but for display.
Still, can't blame Warlord for trying I suppose...  ::)

At least it has the sail right. But yes, a waterline model or option would increase sails (get it  :D ) dramatically  ;)

This is actually just what I need for a certain stranded ship.

Revell once sold this with glow-in-the-dark paint as a ghost longship. Hence the comedy viking head sail decal. That was in 1994 so, hardly 'new' :) (used to be black plastic too)

it means that could be bought 3 or 4 of them for  a viking port or stuff like that!

i love it!

Jup I bought one at a discount back when I was a wee lad. It indeed came wiht glow in the dark paint, the ship is not to bad but fiddly as hell, the shields are nice, tough I cant remmeber it coming with the transfers. I would doubt the paddles to make it all trough even the first game.

If somebody is desperate for reference I can take some pica, but mine has been heavenly cannibalized on the shields, and was build a long time ago.

Thats quite an old kit remember picking one up when 14 and on holiday, many moons ago, would work better with 20mm IIRC

A shot with a modern 28mm figure next to it would be brilliant!

Modern as in "current view of what is 28mm"  lol

I mean there is a lot of scale creep so if you used a 1967 viking 25mm miniature it would be of less use.  :)

Before Revell wasn't it sold by Aurora (complete with oarsmen) ?
