I bought one of these over the weekend at historicon and I must admit I am a little puzzled when it comes to assembling this thing. Anyone built one before?

I found only one photo online but it was assembled all wrong LOL

I can tell you how I put together mine in about a week or so. I had to scratchbuild a few things to make it make sense. Well, when I say "make sense" that means "how I see things"...

Lovely. The Vestry at The Witchery in Edinburgh was quite an experience. Not to mention the islands of Mull, Iona, Staffa, Rum and Sky. And the Highlands. And all castles. And the falconeer at Dunrobin.

The Mrs hammershield is already due to give birth to a baby boy at the end of november. Where we took our time in life getting married we have compensated by becoming parents quickly. :-)

Like the true trooper she is she still ascended The Cobbler (one of the Munros) with me.

Sorry for the hijack. I'll explain what I did with the kindernacht wagon later.

Interesting model. You don't  happen to have a few pictures of just the cart (and it's contents) so we can make out what's going on?

hmm, I need some help on this one. I have primed and begun painting this rather extensive model and what opinions on what the materials would be made from (historicaly) on a cart from this time period. And what colors might have been used that would be appropriate.

I am going to go with Iron/steel coloured bars for mine and a simple wooden effect for the rest. I am not sure about doing too much colour as its a piece used by monks. :

agree with Malamute, that dont need too much colour, would try to make it more dark and sombre. Should look very cool when finished  

Really looking forward to see that modell painted. I've bought it years ago but unfortunately didnt manage to paint it

thanks guys, I will let you know how the iron and wood combo scheme is coming along!!! At least I can get a bit of color out of the cattle pulling the cart!
