CinC house rule questions

I just bought the Chaos in Carpathia PDF (thanks to a certain thread started by Jet...) and I downloaded the house rules from Tom Weiss's site.

Obviously, the Warbands in the house rules take the place of the warbands in the main rules, but what about the special characters in the main rules? Would you still use them or would you use the generic "Expedition Member" and "Gypsy" to build your own special characters?

And for a Monster Hunter warband, do you need to take both an Intrepid Leader AND an Expidition Leader? Or is it just mandatory to take at least one of them?

Oh, and the last page of the house rules pt. 1, it should say "Gypsies can choose...", not "Expedition members can choose...", correct?

Monster hunter first paragraph says

"choose a nationality. Then choose one of the leader characters and the other members of the warband ..."

I would say you have to choose one of the two "mandatory" leader.
If you must pick both "mandatory" there is no option to choose from, the sentence would have no sense.

About the othe question, i think your are right, very probably  is a copy/paste bug

I asked two of those questions to Tom himself, Donpimpom is correct. Choose one leader and it is a copy and paste error.

I didn't ask about special characters as I assumed you could use them. I would avoid some combinations though, no Gypsy knifeman for the Gypsies, no mad doctor and monster for Frankenstein's warband, etc.
