Ramshackle Games Iron Grumbler
« on: September 05, 2010, 08:51:59 PM »
Ive just our up the Iron Grumbler on the web shop. Its a really chunky piece of kit. The first model in a range from Leo Blackband. Painted by myself. Of course the parts are available separately too.

That's great! I'm leaning towards Ramshackle for my Post-Apoc minis...

Now that is nice. I could see it as a Quar assault gun (with some modification).

Definitely looks like a rhino, of course that circular thing at the back looks like a possible gun mount so you could go Razorback.  I'm going to put in another Ram Shackle order sooner or later...

Cheers,

Cheers,

Yep, I agree, the inverse is also true, since the Rhino looks like a full tracked APC anyway, so GW can't make any claims against this I guess (one never knows, though...  lol).

I prefer this one over a Rhino, size- & gamewise on the tabletop.  At the least, it will be smaller than my average tabletop house and visually better going. Great work, Curtis, I'll order some!

It is bigger than a rhino. Its like you could actually fit 10 men in the back of it....there probably going to be a turret and turret mount made for it.

Nice job, it looks really chunky! I think I'd be tempted to reposition the exhausts to match the rhino design even more and the body screams out for some freehands or graffiti.

Very nice.

For anyone wanting to use it as an APC it looks like it could do with a couple more doors but for post apoc skirmishy type stuff it's perfect.

I've been putting off picking up some vehicles as I don't actually have anything to use them for justnow but my resistance is wearing thin.

This is very cool! Very Rhino-esque, but quite unique as well. I'm liking the vehicles you've been putting out recently.

I rule!  And I totally agree, GW tanks look like some old WW1 tanks or even more modern tanks.  The rhino probably looks like some APC in the real world, but not Canada's, ours has six wheels.  That might be one of the few vehicles we make, our tanks are German...  Canada specializes in special forces, engineers, and bi-lingualism.  We can't even deploy rapidly overseas without the Yanks, no planes in our airforce can carry armoured vehicles.  We don't even have enough crew to sail our entire navy.  The US asks for us every scrap though, Brits too.  All the US wants from us is engineers, doctors, and Joint Taskforce 2, plus some ComSec people.  The Canadian government may still be officially denying JTF2 exists, but Shwartzcoff or someone thanked them on live CNN and the gig was up.  They have their own website now.

So...this model is more detailed (in my opinion) than an Evil Empire Rhino, bigger/better scaled than an EE Rhino, is based on the same kind of real world design as the EE Rhino and costs almost 1/3 of the price of the EE Rhino.

Enough said really, you could use this as a base for any number of tanks and only need a little plastic card/tubing.
