Judge Dredd Citadel line: suitable creeps and perps?
« on: September 09, 2010, 11:53:30 AM »
Hi there.

I recently put my hands on some old Judge Dredd miniatures from the Citadel now defunct line (Anderson, Reed and Dredd). Though the miniatures are extraordinary in terms of details and vintage feeling, they are indeed very small. Something like 25mm or so. Compared to her Foundry counterpart, Anderson looks like a Grymm (ahem).

As I plan to use them with the new Mongoose set of rules, I won't need many judges, but I sure will fall short of perps that don't look like giants.
Any ideas for suitable, "small" sci-fi ganger miniatures? I was thinking of the Rogue Trader era pirates and adventurers, but I've never seen these in real, so I can't really say.

Thanks

Have you thought about trying Ground Zero Games?  They have a huge selection of proper 25mm miniatures and there are a good few that may suit your needs :) .

Thanks for the suggestion.
I just wished they had more pictures of their 25mm ranges. They don't seem to have much "civilian" minis either.  :?

Old RT era 40k pirates and imperial guard army would be ok size wise, just need to trawl Ebay.

I've found that the older Grenadier and Ral partha Cyberpunk and Shadowrun figures work well with the old Citadel Judges. I believe that if the old Grenadier Cyberpunk stuff works, then Copplestone Future Wars should as well.

I'll take a look at these Ral Partha models, thanks.
I have a few Grenadier minis as well. Some models are dead on to make survivors from the Cursed Earth indeed, and the "rebels" line is definitly filled with interesting creeps. On the other hand, the Copplestone range is oversized compared to the few judges I have. The fact that most of them are crouching only adds to the problem.

Oh I have just finished Judge Reed. Got to find her another name, actually.

Thanks for that, makes browsing the website a lot more enjoyable and expensive for me  :)
