K-Line Building repaint
« on: August 10, 2007, 05:50:31 AM »
Recently I purchased this K-Line building on Ebay:

Last weekend, I called up some of my Posse and we began test running a scenario we hope to host at Fall-In! this year.  Here are some pictures of the repainted K-Line building in our test run:

This scenario takes place in Wyoming in April, so there is some snow on the ground.

The cattle are from an ERTL set.  Both the cattle and the ERTL set will have to be repainted. . . I'll post those pics once I finish them.

Great job on the re-paint. It's amazing how good the train model buildings are. I'm going a bit crazy with getting them now.

Hehe, are you scouring eBay?

I went nuts and bought this building, and several ERTL sets- Cow Town, Longhorn Ranch, Log Barn, and the Vintage Building set.

That looks fantastic!  What was the building called?

I also love seeing the snow!  I can just picture some cow puncher coming in out of the cold, pulling off his gloves, blowing on his hands, and pouring himself a hot cup of coffee from the pot at the fireplace.

I believe it is called an L-Shaped Ranch House.  Seems to be one on Ebay now:http://cgi.ebay.com/KLine-L-Ranch-House-Kit-with-Figures-O-0-27-Scale-New_W0QQitemZ6046602067QQcmdZViewItem

I used baking soda but it went yellow with the pva glue over time.

Games workshop do some but i thinks its very expensive if you want a lot.

This guy is the place i recomend getting any scenery materials from at the moment. Very knowlegable and helpful fellow !

Scroll down a bit for snow effects.
