15mm Dark Ages (Brytenwalda) **Rulebook released!**
« on: September 19, 2010, 09:22:07 PM »
Endakil has been painting some Splintered Light miniatures for his Dark Ages skirmish project. Check his blog to see lots of fantastic shields, great scenery and unpronounceable Saxon names:

I agree, I didn't think SLM were so good until I saw this. There's some updates, plus a sketch for the rulebook cover.

This looks fantastic!! I love those shields :o

The fall of the west is a period very dear to my heart. I'll be watching this with great interest.

The rules can now be downloaded from the blog. They look prettier than most commercial wargames I have seen o_o There's a B/W printer-friendly version too.

Hey Aaron, want to meet for a game? Find a mid-point?  :D

I've always wondered abt those guys who collect the same army in 2 scales, but those minis and these rules... :-*
I've got Saxons and Romano-Brits in 28mm for WAB, but I'm getting swayed!

I've downloaded the rules and they are beautiful! Really great production. I especially like the photos of the various reenactment groups you've used throughout (as a Viking reenactor myself I just get a warm glow when I see that stuff).  :D

Hopefully I can get someone here to give it a try with me. I've looked it over and it looks like a solid rules set. Here's hoping...

I have nothing to do with this game, see the first post, I just linked the blog. I couldn't even dream of painting like that!
