Mononef
« on: 18 October 2010, 08:01:35 PM »
Evening LAFs,

this is the next model in the series "deadly one man vehicles":

The Mononef:

(now with proper scale model ;)

I imagine many of these on a biiig carrier nef ;)

Still missing are guns for turret and hull, some little "wings" and the propeller.... (and of course 150 rivets).

Should I add decorations like fleur-de-lis or crosses to the hull or leave that to the general and future owner of this ship?

Cheers,
Tobi

Perhaps some sort of wheels, you know the sorts older planes have at the tail end, but then 3 or so of them? I think it would ad to the cute-ness of the thing.  ;D

Good idea... maybe one fixed wheel on the tail and two foldable wheels in the hull...

Could work, anyhow something that gives the visuals of them rolling of the side of a carriers launch ramp.

Very nice. Maybe some retractable spider legs instead of wheels.

Sometimes you get a sense of a things background music when you see it. All I can hear now is the music to Teddy Bears Picnic

That's cute.  And I like your new mini for scale.  The WWII Germans always looked odd to me.

That's awesome, it could work well as an airbourne flagship for 2/6mm VSF games.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Can you make a series of decals and symbols out of really thin metal to go with it?

Thanks all!

Unfortunately not, but I'm sure there is already something like that on the market ;)

I'll apply the smallest rivets I have to make it fit with multiple scales

Cheers,
Tobi

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STRIDSVAGN M/21-29

I lost motivation when someone else released the same few days before me  :'(
...but I should finally cast it (because it is 99% finished already)  ;)
