hi cuprum
have you thought about letting people on other forums know about these 1/56th models?
here:-
http://www.guildwargamers.com/phpBB3/index.php
and here;-
http://ambushalleygames.com/forum/index.php
lots of 28mm gamers on those 2.
we get asked to do 1/56th trucks all the time so maybe there is a market here for them.
thanks

Thanks for the advice, Shaun. I'll try to use it.

I find it difficult to find new forums in the foreign language I was hoping wargamers and collectors themselves will share information with each other about my shop  ;)

Alas, alas!

No one from the offered you forums has not approved my registration.
Apparently in these communities is not desirable "Orc" from "Mordor"  ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. But I do not want to go where I'm not welcome.

New models of Russian cars:

UAZ "Hunter" (UAZ-315195) - russian terrain vehicle; 1/50. Outwardly, it's the same UAZ-469:

You can buy it here: http://siberia-miniatures.ru/product_info.php?products_id=1758

UAZ-452 (UAZ-3962) - russian special all terrain utility vehicle (4×4); 1/50

http://siberia-miniatures.ru/product_info.php?products_id=1760

UAZ Patriot (UAZ-3163) — russian mid-size SUV; 1/50. This car uses the Russian FSB in brutal black camouflage  ;)

http://siberia-miniatures.ru/product_info.php?products_id=1757

GAZ-3221 "Gazelle" - Russian minibus/van; 1/50. Very widespread Russian civilian minibus.

These models are ideally combined with figures of 28 mm.

Likewise. The old bukhanka is a favourite because it's so bloody ugly and I'd like to add one to the collection. It's just a pity nobody makes an appropriately scaled GAZ-69.

Cuprum. Could you do me a favour and take a photo of the rear of the BTR-80 model? I might be interested in some if they aren't too toy like. I can cut off the lights and fill any gaps the turret myself and at a fraction of the cast of the Empress version it's very tempting. I really like the Urals and Zils I bought from you.

Many thanks! Looks like there's nothing there that can't be remedied with some judicious work with filler and plastic card. Much as I love my Imprint BTR-80 $11 USD vs  $38 USD is hard to beat especially when you want multiples.

I agree - a little improvements "greensaff" and a good work brush - get an excellent model.
By the way - it would be good to wash off the factory paint with metal parts of the model. A thick layer of paint - significantly conceals surface relief.

I have that same BTR-80 myself (Chinese sellers have tons of them), though admittedly I should go back and make a new one with better armour. I would note its like 1/56 scale, so not perfect. IIRC you can pick up 1/48th radio controlled ones on Ebay for £20.

Also the same company who do the 1/48 diecasts of Russian cars in this thread do Gaz-69's as well. They're a bit big, but kind of work. Again, EBay's a friend, but I bought mine for £1 from Poundland here in the UK (they had hundreds of those diecasts in stock at one point).

Your model GAZ-69 on the scale of 1/43. He is very big . This model is suitable for 40 mm figures.

Aye, which is why I only use that as terrain (that soldier's head should be above the door level if it were to scale) . The problem with moderns is finding a good scale, and unfortunately die cast manufacturers seem to just love 1/43rd scale casts over 1/50th. :(
