Cool pulpy set of figures
« on: August 24, 2007, 10:22:39 AM »
I just bought on a whim a set of Giant ants from Steve Jackson games, GURPS.  I was very surprised at how much I like this set and I think anyone into Pulp/Weird WWII or any crazy scientist game will love these.  The set is in 28mm and comes with 6 Giant ants in 28mm but you could use them in any scale (they would be really giant ants in 15mm scale). They look very nice and don't seem like they’d be too hard to put together.  The Ants come in 6 parts 3 sets of legs, a body, a head and a set of antenna. Then you have the Igor type villain, a cool hunchback carrying a jar and holding up a brain. He looks a little bit like Bozo the clown but he is a nice sculpt. Lastly you have the mad scientist with a shock of hair, arm waving high in the air, glasses and a lab coat he could either be maniacally laughing crying out “IT LIVES” or hold his hands up to fend off his creation “Don’t eat me, eat Igor”. All in all a very nice little set.  Happy painting.

Barbarella: What's that screaming? A good many dramatic situations begin with screaming...
