Oh, well... I guess I will have to sit this one out. I won't have time to finish my Gebirgsjäger.

HammerShield, as I understand it they dont have to be WW2. I havent painted WW2 for a good few years and couldnt face doing so either. I still have some Westwind Germans and Yanks sitting part painted but couldn`t rise to the occassion :)

The entries are getting better every time, great stuff and hard decisions. Sadly it seems to get a '5 Mini only'-contest. Maybe larger groups should get a bonus?

Sure, shouldn't change the rules during a season. But might be interesting for season 2.

I always love if a new round starts with many new entries.

But I often remember old entries, and would love to watch them again.
I don't know if you other board members have stored the pictures by your own, I have not.

What do you think about a thread where we could see all the entries of each participant up to now.

Sorry Prof, I know it would be quite some work.

>All picture entries must be sent to forum@backofbeyond.de and must meet a previously-specified deadline, namely the end of the previous round. A picture must meet a maximum resolution of 800x800 pixels.

My software does not allow me to choose image size in pixels.  What is that in inches?

well, thank you for the warm welcome

so, some questions about the entries:

do they have to be "new", meaning unpublished before?
how do you count for vehicles? by size?
what if scenery belongs to the theme- eg an ammunition stack for a cannon an crew?
how about cavalry models? they sure take more time to paint

now some personal remarks:
I voted for round seven, and it seems that users rather comment only positevely
is negative criticism not allowed? or simply bad manners?
discussing the painting technique/style can be instructive, but also taken badly by contestorcould I have some instructions please, before I commit a faux pas?

Criticism is allowed ;) but since this is a friendly place I guess “harsh” criticism would not be looked on well. Constructive criticism is really the best since any criticism is only YOUR opinion. I paint mostly “Historical” type armies and as such have a subdued style that is built for speed; others are bright single figure fantasy painters. There are many different styles and ability levels and people post here to show off their efforts not get “flamed”.  8)
