They look really nice.  Perhaps a coat of matt varnish to take away the shine?

Cheers Thargor. The couple of shiny guys were varnished using an old can of Citadel 'ardcoat which seemed to have goen a bit glossy for some reason but apart from those the others havn't got that shine. Thanks for the comments and I'l post more when I can.

Those are pretty cool. Like the mounted models and army guys especially.  8)

Citadel 'Ardcoat is by far the worst matt varnish in the world, totally random finishes guaranteed. I use Daler & Rowney Galleria matt acrylic artist's varnish from the local art shop. Flat as you like, comes in big bottles for about a fiver. Takes a litle longer to dry, but I've never had a problem with it in two years of use. Just make sure you gloss the figures to seal them first or it can lift some of the heavier pigmented paint.

Cheers JollyBob, I'll give it a go. Real shame when all your hard work painting is spoiled by the final stage. Well, we learn from our mistakes. :D

They look great.  As for the glossy finish, a good shot of Testors Dull-Cote will fix it.  I've heard it's hard to get on your side of the pond though.  An alternate is Spray Fixative for pastels.  I have used it many times and it dulls down the gloss nicely without jacking up the paint.  The brand I used is this:

But I use Dull-Cote for almost everything now.
This is my boomstick!

Cholly, sorry, I actually meant Windsor & Newton Galleria varnish. Daler Rowney do something similar though (think Orctrader uses it) so whichever you get is fine.

Used to use Testors dullcote brush on, but it can really lift your paint if you haven't sealed it properly, never tried the spray so might be worth a shot. I think you can get it from Antenociti's Workshop.

Thanks JB, wondered why I couldn't find it last night. Definately one to try as a few of my mini's were spoiled (but hopefully not) ruined by my dodgy 'ardcoat.
Will post the pics once the shine has been de-shined.

NIce work Cholly, I dont know if they sell Krylon products In "merry ol" England, but I use their matte finish and it works great. a few quick sprays then under the lamp for 5-10 mins. Have not had an issue yet.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

I tend to use the 'ardcoat on things I want a gloss finish on usually boots and sometimes leather straps.  Nice paint job better than I'm doing with some of the same models.
Luckily I have a girlfriend that can paint a lot better than me. Shame she is obsessed with painting whores at the moment. :o

Nice work, I particularly like Honest Abe, he looks like a no good two gun pistoleer :D

I second the suggestion about Galleria matt varnish. Its easy to find in most UK art shops. Just brush it on. I have never been a fan of spray on varnishes, you hear to many horror stories.

Testors is readilly available in the UK again.  It will take the shine off quite well.  Use it all the time.

Good minis mate.
