I think a fair few have gone down the same route with Playmobil ships... I've certainly seen plenty of them on here before. So don't worry, you're not alone with your toys  ;)

Welcome, by the way  :)

Okay, cool, didn't think I could possibly be the only one to put two and two together :)

Especially on a German forum!

I have a buddy who runs a laser shop, very similar to Laser Dream Works which I just saw on here.  I wonder if I could convince him to get into building ships too...

I didn't see the Disney radio-controlled Black Pearls mentioned.  One came out with either the first or second Pirates of the Caribbean movie and the second came out with the third movie.  Both convert well for used with 25mm/28mm figures.  Disney marketed Queen Annes Revenge for the fourth movie and while it requires some major work, when modified it is a beautiful ship and also works well with 25mm/28mm figures.  You can see pictures of these ships (still WIP) at leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=34316.msg403004#msg43004.  I hope to have the finished ships posted in late June or early July.  You can see their final makeover at www.warin15mm.com/Pirates.html

We invite your attention to LASER DREAM WORKS line of laser cut wooden model ship kits.  With the completion of our successful Kickstarter Project, RUN OUT THE GUNS, all of our ship kits now include the appropriate cannon.  Our range of ships is growing quickly with a wide range of hull sizes with cutter as small 10 inches and a sloop of war as large as 24.

Scale Creep Miniatures has recently acquired the Flagship Games resin pirate ships.  I have not dealt with SCM, but I have a couple of the FG ships - nice, practical models.

i agree flagship games ships were nice models
i have some , and will paint them ... maybe  :?
Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

Most of the ships we have done so far have been from the late 1700s and early 1800s.  Our newest ship the "La Belle" dates from 1685 and has a bit more classical pirate look for fans of the golden age.  You can see more of her here:

Enjoy

I finally got my hands on one of the OG25s ships, the Black Cutlass.  I must say it is a very nice looking ship and heavy too.  I like the wide body as to hold more undead pirate like figures. I'm pretty excited to replicate the sails in gauze from a picture someone posted from last years Historicon.

I bought a couple of laser-cut MDF ships from eleven tree designs. They are perfect. I just need to buy a few cannons and I am good to turn pirate. I will try and post some pictures soon.
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

So I finally finished up my Old Glory Black Cutlass ship with a few minor modifications.

And here's what I'm working on now.
