Fatgoblin - It's not apparent on the photo - but those are Hellboy type fists that are emblazoned with crucifixes - sort of using the enemy's weapon against him.........

They remind me somewhat of the concept art for the Spinespur game, though lower-tech. The first pair of models look like the doctor or professor character who transforms into a beast, and the guy with the big gloves/forearms seems similar to one of their Men of G.O.D., who has these giant cyberglove thingies on.

Would be neat to have both sets of figures, provided all the Spinespur ones come out, to do sort of a parallel earths thing with them.

Or to put it another way - like Jekyll and Hyde. Although we predate Spinespur by a few years - Jekyll and Hyde have been around for a couple of Hundred years.
The owner of Spinespur has been a member of the Disturbia yahoo group pretty much since it started back in January of 2004 - and had purchased many figures from us

I'm sure he could be used like that - but our own influence was more Hellboy - and the fact that we have done some Angels, and need some Human tie-ins.
We used the cyberglove idea ourselves back in 2003 for the ever popular Rampagers - though of course GW used it before us as Power Fists for Space Marines.
I think if you dig deep enough you will find that nothing is original - it's just how well you cloak it!

Anyone got both Spinespur and Disturbia models to compare size?

Damnation, sooo would have loved them in 28mm
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

I had a look on the Spinespur site this evening - and they acknowledge Dr Jeckyll as the inspiration (along with Dr Frankenstein) for Dr Ackron

Yes - hunting Monsters for the Vatican - which is the puppet of the Angels - who are of course a bunch of deceptive liars, and at least as bad as the Monsters they are hunting

Steve,

I tried to be very careful in my post not to imply or allow anyone to infer that I thought there was any copying of inspiration going on. In fact, I rewrote it twice to make it as innocuous as possible.

I've been aware of your company's product for years because Lon at Brigade Games carries your product, and I certainly wasn't accusing you of stealing anyone's ideas.

I didn't mean to offend you, and if I did, I apologize.

Thanks for listening,
Christopher
