[Aeronef] First game pictures.
« on: December 12, 2010, 08:48:35 AM »
Hi, yesterday evening at our club we played the first game of Aeronef, the game, even with very simple rules we liked a lot because you can add a lot of interesting things.
As something special, we use a homemade fleet, but the only problem was that part of the hills, we had no proper scenery for the scale.
To simulate the town who attacked the German fleet, we used an aerial photo of a city.
In the end, the French fleet defender is destroyed by the German fleet.
I show you some pictures of the game, a greeting!

Very impressive, some wonderfully wacky machines there.
I told you so. You damned fools.

Very nice.
I was just looking at a bin full or drywall anchors thinking there was something to be done with them.

The skyscraper-sized propellers are probably the wackiest.  lol

Still, inventive and inspiring! I think I see some building products, well and truly fitted out for aerial carnage.

The aged sepia prints are appreciated; are you using Photoshop/CS/whatever to create the effects? I'm no hack at it, but it is amusing to consider what you might do to further the illusion, whether to try covering the flight stands, blurring/smoothing the shadows, etc.

Without color, the cotton 'explosion' on the one 'nef appears to have a base of flame and smoke. Now THAT'S enhanced by the monotone.

Your group has impressed me before; looking forward to further delights.

Salud!

Doug

Edit: Skrapwelder: We've both got the same eye on this one.  ;->= I've noticed on TMP more than one poster uses them for futuristic spaceship fleets. This is the first occurrence of  VSF 'nefs I've seen, and darned impressive!

Thanks all for your replys!!!!!!! For the "skyscraper" propellers  :) I use a plastic plane model retails, I think it was a IWW model.
For make the sepia photos, I use a free program called "Photoscape", very easy for use.

I missed this when you first posted it, but I'm glad it's come back - these are wonderful aeronefs! Thank you for posting the thread, it makes me want to get small pieces of plastic and stick them together to see what happens!
