Sometimes, having a look at the D&D miniatures catalog can give you some rewards.

This guy is the Umber Hulk for the latest expansion called Desert of Desolation. I think it can make a good alien monster for any Pulp Space adventure

There are a few useful figures amongst the D&D ranges, some of the cloaked villains are handy enough as insane priests, there's also a couple of ragged looking prisoner types and a hooded torturer.
