And the first 10 Brits were done.  :)

Ooooh! Very nice! A lot of negative stuff has been written about the Wargames Foundry Brits, but I don't mind them at all. Good value for the money, and the bits left over for conversions..... Awesome.

Arh well. They're not good that is right. But I'm not really in a position to be picky at the moment.  lol

I've always thought that VSF was about doing the best with what you had. Be that jar lids, cardboard tubes or ugly plastic casts(-aways).

I think that their weak point is the sculpts on the heads, and on mine I did quite a few head swaps (Old heroclix figs etc) But I've used the bodies on one project, the arms on another, and the leftover guns on yet another. The leftover pith helmets are great to have. It's too bad that Wargames Factory started the range with Brits, before the kinks were ironed out, because the more recent releases have been fantastic. Maybe they should do a 2.0 and start over

That would be a very nice idea. I think the hands are the issue for me. They're more like lumps of undefinable plastic than hands... and of course the arms - they're just wrong!  :`

I stopped buying WGF after the Zulu. The Zulu were OK, but more suited for 200+ games than the skirmishes I'm doing. (I won't rule out buying loads of Zulu at some point though... and with my economy that would end up being WGF zulu. Crossing my fingers that Perry do some colonial plastics soon)

They are rather horrid figures, but you have done wonders with them, T.N. Certainly good enough for some proper colonial gaming, I reckon.  ;)

You don't half seem to be churning stuff out at a prodigious rate lately. You're putting everyone else to shame. By the way, I love the slightly gay-looking robot in his cowboy outfit, too.

Great painting on the Brits, Dr The Viking! I'm hoping to get some soon to add to my own VSF forces, I'm a bit nervous given the negative comments, but I can see positives.

That's Wargames Factory Chairface old chap.

BTW, from what I understand, there is a plan to re-tool the Brits hopefully in the not-too-distant future. And yes, the Zulus were intended precisely for low-cost high-volume troop-heavy games (as were the Brits in fact).

Thanks Plynkerly. You'll be delighted to know that I'm contemplating "proper" colonial business also. In the not to far future hopefully.  lol

We've all done it at some point I think.

There's still time for you to go back and edit your origianl post and remove the evidence, then I totally promise to collaborate in a cover-up by altering my posts if you wish. No-one need ever know.

I finally got some point on "Tube-1" - the British attempt at steam building in my VSF... idea.

As ever I opt for the larger size, making the name "land ship" more fitting.  lol
