Those badges are lovely and a great idea as a convention freebie. I used to have a badge-making kit when I was a youngster. Wish I knew what happened to it  :(

Picked up a button maker quite awhile ago; can be fiddly finding an image that fits, size-wise. However, I've played with many ideas.

Sir Randall played a version of Blue Max, and suggested I make national buttons for players. I did the same for the Tuffley-verse major powers for Full Thrust.

I've taken old White Dwarfs for Warhammer images. These made good giveaways; too bad most of the current images are blurry b/w or photos of figs. Not good for badges...

Medal images can be used for simple, small winner trophies in tournaments.

I've even seen them used as con id badges.

Alas, most of my projects were started but petered out before fruition, but I've still got the maker and blanks, and will give it a go again.

It has been a while since I last updated, I am currently working on my Russian forces and have painted quite a lot, but I still need a few models before I start working on the bases, so you will all have to wait a bit for that.

But just to show that I actually am painting some stuff I have this picture of a model I painted some time ago.

A monkey with a big knife from Black Army Productions.

Yeah, it is a great model, I gave him a pretty simple paint scheme, but I think it ended up ok.

I am still planning a VSF monkey faction, I have this one, the flying monkeys, gorilla highlanders, some normal gorillas and a gorilla with mechanical fists. Also I have a large robot gorilla which I need to assemble and steam up with a boiler and smokestack.

I would like a large King Kong like gorilla too.

But while this is still mostly in my head I will use them in other factions. So far my flying monkeys and gorillas have been working for the British, but I think the flying monkeys will fit better with the Russians.

You, sir, are not allowed to attempt a takeover of the solar system until your octopus sobers up.

Yeah, I was planning to get the last one, but the first one is a bit too sci-fi for my VSF taste, so I am not planning to get that just now, but who knows what happens.

Thanks for the links.

A bit thread necromancy on myself here.

VSF is not completely dead here, but I think it is slumbering.

I have taken a status photo of my current VSF project. The Russian Army.

Lot of it is WIP and some of it very WIP.

I will try and take some better photos of units and individuals at some later point.
