I'd like one of those! (Somebody knock me one up?   ) My Elizabethan rabble forces need a home...

I'm also still taken with that fabulous Forge World coaching inn...

I've looked at the Pardulon stand at Salute for the last couple of years - I think you could achieve a similarly attractive and complex timbered structure using their range of modular components - although no doubt at quite a high price! http://pardulon.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=33_35&osCsid=46e4c44bbdb4a3d17e510320e11772b4

There are a few examples on my site which, demonstrate that it could be done. Mainly this picture:

And there is always Pardulon Castle

But you can always start with a smaller building, and add more floors, roof extensions and outbuildings later. And if you follow the building instructions, you have accessible rooms complete with interior detail, too 8)

I like the buildings from that guy far better than anything you can buy off the peg.

Some of the photos on his website

are so cool, you think they're photos from a real building!

"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

He does fabulous work!

I was sort of relieved to see that it had taken him four months to make. I'd have felt really bad if it had been one rainy weekend's efforts! H

Hello everybody, and thank you for the kind words.

If anybody is interested, I'm knee deep in a tutorial/ w.i.p. log of my current project. It's near completion now, but you can still get a pretty good idea of what goes into one of these models.

I hope to be able to contribute a bit more to this forum in the future.
