I still have a most of the WEG figures, one gameshop bought all the loose figures from Grenadier and sold them individually. Can't decide what to do with them. ???

If you decide to sell them, you should get a good price - there are enough WEG buyers on here, to cause a stampede....

can't believe you had that stash for 10 years and did nothing with them...

what conversion work did you do on the AT-AT driver? you didn't say...

the problem with the AT-AT driver/TIE pilot costume was that the stormtrooper/rebelpilot combo helmet was it was so massive... always looks fine on action figures and in the comics and what have you, but on a person always looks so weird...

Not all of it mate, most of the boxed sets. Loose minis, blisters and ESB boxed set acquired recently.

The conversion work on this one was purely paintjob, though I will add the shoulder plates to this and future drivers and yes they do look very top heavy in costume have to agree.

Snow bases:

(A simple how to). The WEG minis are all solid base (boo!) but given their vlaue I've decided against hacking the bases off and instead dropping them into slottas. This involves tracing round the base and cutting the hole big enough to snuggly fit the mini, then superglued flat in place, with the offcuts glued underneath the base to further secure the mini.

This works well but is time consuming, (thankfully Geronimo does some recessed standard chaffered bases so I'll give those a whirl).

Once the glue has dried, I use a coving adhesive, (basically a finer polyfilla) to coat the base. Once dry this is undercoated grey, then stiple brushed with space wolves gree. I thinned wash of asurmen blue is applied and final work up using skull white.

I still have a most of the WEG figures, one gameshop bought all the loose figures from Grenadier and sold them individually. Can't decide what to do with them. ???

If you have any rebels and snowtroopers & probe droids drop me a PM. Cheers

Wow! Great project. Very much a fan of yours though I hope this doesn't mean that the halo project has been side lined! Awesome project though!

No just scheduled back to fit in with the possible availability of covenant later this year.

Ok then, so no self respecting rebel outpost, space port, docking bay or hanger would be complete without a range of crates, boxes and barrels:

I used a mixture of stuff from Fenris Games, Old Crown (15mm range) and Pardulon Resin Models and Terrain. Tried to keep that very dirty sci-fi look with greys, gunmetals and beiges. Have another six or so to paint, very satisfying. Will need to get some of Jed's barrels, maybe the old void ones too.

I was glad with my collection of WEG boxes but yours is really impressive. That's an amazing collection. Your project seems amazing.

You must have spent a fortune getting all those old minis together.  Congratulations!  This project is going to be great.

Not really as I've built it up over time, recently had a bit of a spend but not stupidly to be honest and big lots work out better value for money.

Oh, but you have to have some stinking Ewoks. I mean, there are only two different Ewok poses in the entire range. Not as bad as the singular Tusken Raider though, or the Scout Trooper.
